What Dave
Stands For

01
Strong Farmers

Supporting our agriculture.

Yakima County agriculture is the backbone of our economy and our identity. Dave will fight for the policies, infrastructure, and water access that keep our growers competitive, our farms profitable, and our valley feeding the country. When agriculture wins, the whole county wins.

02
Advocate for Water Rights

Protecting our water. Protecting our future.

Water is the most valuable asset Yakima County has. Dave will defend our rights, oppose efforts to divert our supply, and advocate for the long-term storage and management our region needs to keep growing. He oversaw a $5M wastewater project as Naches Interim City Administrator and knows the system from the ground up.

03
Fiscal Responsibility

Managing tax dollars with integrity.

Every taxpayer dollar gets the same scrutiny Dave gave $3.1 million in healthcare contract savings in a single fiscal year. The county budget belongs to the residents who fund it, and they deserve a commissioner who treats it that way.

04
Stronger Communities

Safe, vibrant communities across Yakima County.

Strong communities need reliable infrastructure, uncompromising public safety, and government that actually shows up. Dave brings six years of military security leadership and direct experience running parks, councils, and town operations across the Valley. He treats the foundations like the priorities they are.

05
Local Values, Local Voice

Listening. Leading. Delivering.

The residents of District 1 are not abstractions. They are the families Dave coaches youth sports for, his neighbors at church, and the people he serves alongside across the Yakima Valley. They deserve a commissioner who answers the phone, shows up, and delivers.

Working today.
Building tomorrow.
For the Yakima Valley.

Dave Mullen  ·  Candidate, Yakima County Commissioner

Dave Mullen, candidate for Yakima County Commissioner District 1
About Dave

A career of public service.
Ready to deliver results.

Dave Mullen is a U.S. Air Force veteran and proven executive leader running for Yakima County Commissioner, District 1. He brings more than fifteen years of executive experience in municipal administration, healthcare operations, project management, and community development to his candidacy.

Dave served from 2009 to 2015 as Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of Resource Protection at Eglin Air Force Base, training more than 100 Airmen of all ranks with a 100% pass rate on end-of-course exams. His leadership earned two Air Force Achievement Medals, the Senior Airman Below-the-Zone promotion, and recognition as a Distinguished Graduate of Airman Leadership School.

After the Air Force, Dave made his home in the Yakima Valley and served as Parks & Recreation Director for the City of Selah, was elected to the Moxee City Council, served as Business and Value Analyst at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital (where he saved $3.1M in a single fiscal year), and was hand-picked as Interim City Administrator for the Town of Naches during a leadership crisis.

He continues to invest in the Valley as a youth sports coach, longtime church board member, and a husband and father raising his family here in the Yakima Valley.

A conservative Republican committed to fiscal responsibility, water rights, public safety, and government that actually works for the people of District 1.
